At tets&noks we consider ourselves to be a slow fashion label. What does this mean? For the last couple of years, the fashion industry has gotten a bad reputation for polluting the environment, due to emitting waste back into the environment, producing items faster and offering cheaper and poor wages for workers in developing countries.
Sustainability has become a buzz word globally in very industry. In the fashion industry, sustainability looks different from label to label. Some labels only source locally, work with local artisans, produce less, use technology to produce better fabrics, offer better wages and working conditions.
At tets&noks we are a slow fashion label where we strategically produce limited editions of throw blankets and we do not produce items faster like other brands while doing this locally in Kenya. Our lead designer is a woman who is passionate about the fashion industry. She is always seeking new ways to innovate and collaborate with other players in the fashion industry.
